'earlier', 'unless, only if', 'as for (this)'...
This is included one of the four new tools found in 13 tool all-in-one Story Mechanisms, which this is now being sold separately.
This is intended to be a paid upgrade to work with plots, twists, fact generator, scenes, and settings most directly.
This table shows transition words listed in somewhat function order: begin, during, after, compare & clarify, contrast and concession, add, illustrate & introduce, cause & condiciton & effect, refer & identify, direct & place, flexible & changing focus, and occurence & resuming - thought a few can be used in many ways.
This differs from the Scene Action Generator which describes actions (verbs) in a scene. These are meant to help describe what is going on between scenes & settings, which may or may not relate to the plot. Roll to find a transition word to help describe a transition from one scene or setting to another.
This is a transition scene generator that is meant to aid or take the place of a Gamemaster (GM) for adding transition scene keywords. It may also be used as a list of ideas without rolling.
A 12x12 table optimized for 1d12 but with results for 2D6, 1D20, 3D6, and D100 (percentile) systems is included. It makes it a versatile twist generating engine.
The keywords are meant to help trigger thoughtful and inspirational ideas. Its generic enough for any genre.
Included are a total 144+ transition keywords in the entire table.
2 pages: It's first page is the image shown on the cover thumbnail — the instructions and example — and the second page is the chart turned longways 144 results.
This differs from the fact generator in that the results are completely focused on transition words rather than including other sensory or cognitive results.
Download the Fact Generator to use as a preview of this chart. I use the same chart with different results listed.
