If the party is looking for a shop that the GM hasn't planned for, it can also be necessary to quickly create a new merchant.
100 Merchants to Encounter has 100 different merchants that characters can bump into, for whatever reason. They buy, sell, trade and repair many different types of merchandise, mostly legal but occasionally not. Most have fixed places of business but others travel and can be encountered on the road. They can be used as a source of adventure hooks, needed people to deal with or simply as random colour.
