Most of times, when we seek maps to use in our games, we find some that, somehow, are close to what we want, but either are too low in quality to be printed, or have too many visual details which drive the players to assume too many things and ask too many questions out of fear of missing something important.

 

In this set of maps we strive to create a set of simple maps, with basic landscape presentation, but leaving enough free room for the DM to fill in the details. What is room #12 used for? Dormitories, a lab, a library, a prison? What is inside? The DM will write his notes and populate and stock them with whatever he wishes.

 

Each map comes in three variations: 1) DM’s map where hidden passages are noted and every room or place of possible interest is marked with a number for easy note keeping. 2) A Player’s map without any numbers and notes on, with a thin, light-gray grid for easy token placement, and finally: 3) A Player’s map without any numbers, but neither a grid, so the DM can scale the grid in VTT programs to his heart’s desire.

For his book Monsters and Mazes, he created over a dozen illustrations of creatures from myth, folklore, and popular culture. He has also worked on several old school fantasy role-playing games. These include the award-winning Forbidden Caverns of Archaia and Barrowmaze Complete mega-dungeon books by Greg Gillespie. In addition, he has also illustrated covers and interior artwork for the games Strange Magic—Deeper Dungeons and Dungeons from Dungeoneer Games and Simulations.

Part of our Capital Ship Deck Plans map series, Cargo Bays includes 20 full-size maps detailing the types of cargo and freight handling systems that would be found on a large military capital ship such as a Star Cruiser, Destroyer, Frigate or Battleship. 

Designed to be able to be used with any roleplaying game system, these maps are easily able to be integrated into popular Virtual Tabletop (VTT) systems such as Roll20, Fantasy Grounds or others. The maps may also be printed.

Whether your characters are rebel scum trying to resist an evil empire or a part of a rag-tag colonial fleet fleeing an apocalyptic attack, the former crew of an ice freighter trying to survive in the endless expanse of space or just travellers journeying through the galaxy, at some point or another in your campaign these maps will come in handy.

In addition to a GM Notes booklet describing each of the maps and containing instructions for use, we have also included 5 GM Notes layers as PNGs with transparent backgrounds to be placed on the GM Notes layer in VTTs and tokens for the Cargo Elevators. The GM Overlay.png files are made to be placed on the GM notes layer in your Virtual Tabletop system of choice. Since they are the same size as the map, once the settings for the map are correctly set, they can be easily placed on the GM notes layer.

They give the DM some random ways to "Curse" their players without seriuosly hampering gameplay and they are funny enough to be fun to play with. They also all give some kid of bonus as well as a "Curse". This is the second rendition of them. There are 30 cards in all at this point. If I think of any more I'll update the item so that anyone who has already purchased it will get the new cards as well. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

This One-Roll Fudge RPG book was written as part of the several challenges give for the month of November 2018: This Game was made between the 1st o f November and the 30th. This effort supports three simultaneous challenges at the same time with the same full system.

  1. Fudge RPG NaGa DeMon 2018 which is the National Gaming Development Month. This is a challenge to create, write, play, and discuss the game during the 30 day month of November. Specifically, the Fudge SRD was used in this challenge to make a Fudge RPG product. I created it during the month, I played the game in the setting on the 29th of November, and I’ve posted about it on my blog and on the Fudge MeWe page.

  2. In addition, this also is written as a solo system for SGAM 2018 which is Solo Gaming Appreciation Month. The one-roll combat and skill-gm engine system is made to have results for both the player and the enemy characters, without a GM. Simultaneously, I created a forthcoming game story setting for this game system set in the world of Aioskoru.

  3. This and the simultaneously created setting are part of NaNoWriMo 2018 which is the National Novel Writing Month. This challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel within 30 days. I reached my goal the night of November 29th, 2018 and submitted 53,954 words to the full game and setting gamebook in the morning of the 30th.

My primary goal was to create a one roll combat solo gaming system based influences such as somewhat on a popular game from the 80s and 90s which could be used to make Fudge combat quicker and fit a game story setting.

I also included a Fudge based solo game engine, which is adapted from my ABS12 solo game engine.

The game genre is high fantasy, has 3 professions including a ranger-like pathseeker, a soldier, and an animal spirit initiate which can summon one of five spirit animals. About 10 creatures stats are included in this book.

This game uses body, mind, and soul for attributes and has 9 related skills in total.

Each profession can choose three of five special abilities in this game.

A wound tracker is used to keep track of damage.

Also, I did a quick 1 day challenge to try quickly sketching a cover and border.

I also wrote an entire setting in an elvish area setting that these rules will be played through that will be available hopefully in the near future.

Replace any of the rules with rules from any of the Fudge system if you wish.

If you support this project challenge, I hope to expand it in the future. It would be neat to make this into a series.

Kivuli, the villain from BR-1, found and was nursing the egg of the dragon that chased the dwarven cleric through the gate (detailed below). He was in hopes of hatching and controlling the young black dragon. The PCs either killed or drove off the magic-wielding kobold in their adventure.

The caves in which the above adventure took place are the original creation of dwarves. They previously created a gate to the dragon lair in the swamps in order to finish the job of slaying the mated pair of dragons.
The male dragon returned to the lair to find his mate  and her nest gone and his treasure looted by the nasty dwarves. He would take his revenge!

He is now aware that he has a hatchling in the old lair. He is healed and can finally get his complete revenge, save his youngling, and perhaps retrieve some of his hoard! Of course, provided the PCs didn’t slay the hatchling. Nagareth seeks revenge either way.

This is not the work of a native speaker. Please have a look at the preview to see for yourself if my English matches your standards.

25 Encounters in the Eerie, Barbaric North is a by-product of my own RPG sessions, and based on encounters I presented to my own group while they ventured North of Hadrian´s Wall in a world based upon 14th century England (or: plan to do, as at the date of publication the small campaign is still ongoing). While the title is compatible with Lamentations of the Flame Princess(tm), the encounters were not written with a 16th or 17th century world in mind but for an earlier time period.


The “barbarians” in this release (that are not described as Scottish, Gaelic, Pict or anything but just named “barbarians”) fight with spears, axes, shields and short bows, wear nor armor or leather armor. They life in simple cottages or block houses, and either isolated or insmall villages. The region that is imagined to be the backdrop of the encounter is an isolated and cold land with rough hills and woodland: a rather typical environment in most game worlds. A few encounters feature local animals, most focus on the inhabitants of the land (and not all of those will lead to a fight). About half a dozen are strongly supernatural and included fairy and ghosts, some
feature troll or giant creatures. Only one encounter with demi-humans (dwarfs) is included.

Ten pages, more than 6500 words in total. Two pages are cover and front matter, eight pages feature the encounters and some artwork. A printer-friendly black/white version is part of the download as well.

Also included are monster cards and seven miniatures for the Ísskordýr. Each comes in two versions, a full colour one and one in black and white, allowing children to colour in the Roc themselves if they wish.

This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier.

 Engine Room is a single level interior map of a spaceship or mobile space station engine room.

 Engine Room is intended for use in high-tech modern or near to far-future science fiction games.

 Adventure hook for use with this map:

 Portal to Sabotage: The rebels want to waylay an important government supply transport to resupply their forces; however, it is guarded by a cruiser, a highly maneuverable and fast ship with deadly accurate lasers and lock-on missiles. Its vulnerability is that it has a lightly armored hull, a perforce compromise for turning speed and velocity.

The rebels have come up with a daring plan to disable the cruiser. After hearing a rumor that the teleportation station is near the engine room, the rebels have decided to hack into the teleportation station using a recently stolen government teleportation code to teleport the rebel player characters into the engine room.

Once there, the rebels must set a bomb with a timer on the engine power cells while disabling the ship engineers who might be able to disarm the bomb. After completing these objectives, they have fight through ship security to activate the teleportation chamber to get out of the cruiser before the exploding bomb triggers a cascade of secondary explosions from the ship’s power fuel cells!

With the cruiser disabled, the rebels send out a fighter and bomber squad to eliminate the drifting cruiser for good while rebel military transports board the government supply transport.

This is intended to be a paid upgrade to work with Character Generator archetypes, Mood-Emotion Generator, Body Language Generator, Dialogue Engine, Behavior Engine, and Character Communicator most directly.

This table shows reasons or causes for emotions for 15 different archetypes: featuring doer, caregiver, skeptic, lone wolf, guardian, striver, seeker, faithful, mediator, shadow, stranger, darkness, body, mind, and soul. 12 emotions are cross reference with triggers, action/reaction, and need: joy, anticipation, sadness, anger, courage, love, fear & anxiety, guilt, shame, pride, and humility—the same emotions listed on the Mood-Emotion Generator and Body Language Generator.

This is a flexible flaw generator that is meant to aid or take the place of a Gamemaster (GM) for adding emotional causes. It may also be used as a list of ideas.

A 12x12 table optimized for 1d12 but with results for 2D6, 1D20, 3D6, and D100 (percentile) systems is included. It makes it a versatile emotional reaction generating generator.

The keywords are meant to help trigger thoughtful and inspirational ideas. Its generic enough for any genre.

Included are a total 180+ emotional causes and reasons.
