As you stand amidst the crumbling pillars of the ancient agora, a sense of foreboding grips your heart. The once vibrant city of Athens now lies shrouded in darkness, its people cowering in fear. In the fading light of day you witness a figure battered and bloodied, yet still standing tall amidst the chaos. This is the Athenian Blade, a hero forged in the fires of battle, now teetering on the brink of death. As the sun sets on the horizon, casting long shadows across the land, you realize that the Athenian Blade's presence was more than just a symbol of hope - it was a beacon of light in these troubled times. With his imminent demise, you realise, a power vacuum is emerging leaving the city vulnerable to the whims of those who would seek to exploit its weakness. Two such rivals emerge from the shadows, their eyes gleaming with malice and ambition. The first is Cleon, a cunning politician with a silver tongue and a heart as dark as the night. He sees the chaos as an opportunity to seize control, to meld Athens into his own twisted image of power and dominance. The second villain is Xanthippus, a ruthless mercenary whose loyalty lies only with the highest bidder. With the Athenian Blade's demise, Xanthippus sees a chance to establish himself as the new ruler of Athens, crushing anyone who dares to oppose him with an iron fist. As the Athenian Blade's life ebbs away, the fate of Athens hangs in the balance. In the void left by his absence, the forces of darkness gather, ready to plunge the city into an era of tyranny and despair. Now, more than ever, Athens needs a hero to rise from the ashes and reclaim its destiny before it's too late.

HOW TO PLAY

In this Solo Adventure you assume the role of an adventurer in an ancient Fantasy setting. You will require the Ancients Of Gaia Core Rulebook (CRB), and any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you, along with a pen and paper or word-processing document, to play.

The story is set up with an Introduction, a handful of location details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.

The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see, and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller, creating the interactive world in which you are playing.

Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the following few pages, you are ready to begin.

The Artist's Torment

This 5E adventure is designed for a party of four or five 9th-level characters.

Take your players into Plainswick Hall for a thrilling adventure they are unlikely to forget.

Unease and peculiarity marred the most recent exhibition at Plainswick Hall. Many accounts from attendees reported bizarre occurrences. They felt watched by sculptures, not letting anything escape their piercing gaze. Limbs snagged a shawl or lock of hair. Some visitors disclosed that paintings seemed to change from the corner of their eyes for a split second. Subjects' expressions became frightening, or poses shifted to unnatural positions momentarily but returned to normal before anyone could call attention. The patterns on rugs and tapestries flowed like a hypnotic maze. Tripping or stumbling was not uncommon that night. A drink spilled, or a conversation interrupted prevented any harmony the Brentwoods tried to attain that evening. As the palpable discomfort spread through the crowds, a storm erupted, and thunderous bursts of lightning flashed. The rain has not stopped since that night.

The town is desperate for the proceeds from the Brentwoods. The family and those they employ haven’t appeared in over a week. The anxious people of Narteaux have a few theories. Still, no one has been brave enough to investigate the darkened house, especially after the stories of strange happenings during the gala, but fear the worst for the town’s patrons.
The truth is that the family has been tormented and killed at the hands of The Artist, a fey lord trapped in a painting.
A stranger gifted the painting that houses The Artist to Callum and Lady Brentwood about a year before the exhibition. The Artist’s lair at full power is the cause of all the inexplicable things that happened at the gala, but the townsfolk are unaware of this.
The townsfolk believe the group can solve their problems and have asked them to explore Plainswick Hall to find clues to the Brentwoods' whereabouts. To enlist their services, they promise a portion of the town's gold if found.

The Commanders of the Void is a narrative Wargame RPG hybrid set amidst a universal war in the Sins of Vertex series of books. It puts the players into the roles of Commanders, each with their own vessel as they cooperate or compete for whole star systems. Inspired by massive space campaigns like Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and RTS games like Sins of a Solar Empire.

Whole star systems are simplified into large tables. Players control anything from large capital ships to Agents of the Machine Court or nanomachine swarms. Will you fight against the Empress Keon Day, side with her or seek out a new path?

This is the 8th game in the Sins of Vertex series. Like other books in the series, it also functions as a class for a diverse party in the Sins of Vertex series.

Stumme Schreie ist eine Abenteueranthologie mit drei Gruppenabenteuern, die sich alle auf spezielle Kriminalfälle konzentrieren.

Vor aller Augen spielt in Aranien, besser gesagt in der Hafenstadt Mendlicum. Die Abenteurer sind eigentlich nur zu einem friedlichen Fest eingeladen, doch während der Feierlichkeiten stoßen einige Arbeiter auf eine grauenvolle Gefahr, die wahre Helden erfordert. Hinter dem Angreifer steckt eine übernatürliche Bedrohung, deren Spur durch die ganze Stadt führt.

Emir, Magier, Bettler, Held führt die Helden nach Mengbilla, die Stadt der 1.000 Laster. Dort stolpern sie über die Leiche eines prominenten Magiers und werden von der Obrigkeit dazu überredet, den Mörder zu suchen und zu überführen. In Mengbilla müssen die Abenteurer zwischen Bettlern, Gildenvorstehern und Zauberern Nachforschungen betreiben und es gibt mehr nur eine Handvoll Verdächtiger.

Der Schatten des Waldes hängt über einem Andergaster Dorf voller Holzfäller in Teshkalien. Hier treffen die Helden auf eine verschwiegene Dorfgemeinschaft, die einige Geheimnisse zu verbergen hat. In den Nächten plagen die Helden Alpträume und am Tag wendet sich der lebendige Wald gegen die Dörfler – aber warum?
