Chapter 1: "Under the Shadow"
I have a long history with gaming magazines. I love 'em. I worked as a staff writer (under various pseudonyms) for Shadis Magazine, wrote a regular GM Advice column for Pyramid Magazine (Play Dirty), and co-wrote a series of articles for Wolfgang Bauer's Award-Winning Kobold Quarterly.
I miss regular gaming magazines, so I'm making one of my own. Wicked Words Magazine is a regular outlet for GM Advice, adventures, stories, game design articles, interviews and guest writers. It's a magazine like the kind we used to read.
The first issue of Wicked Words Magazine includes:
A Play Dirty column called Killing Characters.
When to do it, how to do it and -- most importantly -- how to get away with it.
Next, we throw your players into a dangerous adventure, Who Killed Lord Davenport?
In this systemless fantasy murder mystery, your players are thrust into a unique situation. They are the killers. But what happened? How did they get there? Who set them up? There's an army outside the castle and they have to find answers to these questions before it's too late.
I'm publishing the first chapter of the long-awaitedSlumming Sourcebook for Houses of the Blooded.
It includes all the background for playing unblooded characters, including servants, merchants and street gangs. It also hints at a "veiled House," the long-forgotten Blooded of the Spider. This is the beginning of a series, publishing the entirety of the Slumming Sourcebook via Wicked Words Magazine.
Price: $3.99
