In 1984, Segira's constitutional monarchy dissolved during a coup. The royal palace was assaulted and most of the royal family is missing or dead. Located in a strategically significant location on the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, it has become a proxy battleground for the Cold War.

Set in an alternate history Cold War, Segira: 1985 is based on our Hammercalled Roleplaying Game ruleset, which allows for very fast play and a focus on storytelling without sacrificing detail.

By using a blackjack-like d100 roll, the game allows players to very rapidly resolve actions and determine a degree of success without letting the dice get in the way of storytelling.

Now on its fifth edition, the world’s oldest roleplaying game presents a number of exciting options to allow players to customize their characters. It seems like just about every class in the game gives players a major choice that can heavily alter the way their character operates, such as a barbarian’s primal path, a paladin’s oath, or a warlock’s pact. While the core rules give every class a handful of these options to choose from, and additional supplements from Wizards of the Coast have provided a few more here and there, there’s no doubt that there’s plenty of room for more of these options to provide you with exciting new approaches to each class, which can give you a some new tricks, allow you to represent flavorful ideas and concepts that had no support previously, or completely turn the class’s basic role on its head. This installment focuses on providing new bardic colleges characters with levels in the bard class. The College of Infernal Courts produces bards well-schooled in legal arts, and especially prepares them for the difficulties of dealing in the literal courts of Hell, battling for ownership of souls against devils themselves. The College of the Marshalling Cry is a favorite for bards that want to focus on supporting their allies and empowering them to be the most that they can be. This is a collection of five images of asteroids that were created during the development of A Baker's Dozen of Inhabited Worlds.

All the images are at a 300dpi resolution and in TIFF format, and all are 1500 pixels in their longest dimension. Two asteroids are single, one is a large asteroid with a lot of smaller ones, one is a cluster and the last is a swarm. They are aimed at a science fiction setting, but will work anywhere that an image of an asteroid is required.

These images can be used for both personal and commercial projects. Attribution is not needed, but is appreciated. They can be modified, but not resold as stock art.

The Exiled

Nowhere in Castorhage are the simple laws of the natural food chain more apparent and clear than in the lowest levels of the Underneath. The denizens of the dark and mysterious passages below the city streets are the hunters and the hunted, chasing prey through the uncharted tunnels of the Nether while running from more deadly predators than themselves. Although solitary dwellers may succeed in quietly luring prey and escaping their enemies for a while, large bands of creatures have better chances of long-term survival. Small villages and large towns in the darkness belowthe surface aren’t by any means safe places, but at least residents can see their assailant coming; in the dark depths of the Underneath, the death screams of the lone wanderer are often never heard.

Not every creature of the Nether chooses a solitary existence. Althoughsome creatures leave their settlement to avoid paying a debt or to flee anassassin, most return when the dust settles. It is safer to take their chances with what they can see and hear than to try to survive in the tunnels all alone. However, not every creature can return to its village or town. The most egregious offenders of settlement laws are punished with a fate worse than death: exile. They are banished from their homes and pushed into the lawless and unforgiving realm beyond the safe walls to which they’ve become accustomed. They will be alone, easy prey for hungry tunnel people who wait in the shadows at the outer edges of well-traveled passages and caverns.

The Exiled (as they are called by the Underneath dwellers who encounter them) are burned with a magical insignia on their face or head that lists the settlement, the date and their crime. Any who meet one of the Exiled immediately knows the details of their banishment, and can easily refuse their entry into their village or town. The skin etching glows a faint red and can be seen through clothing, paint, or hair. Not every village and town in the Underneath uses this method to identify the Exiled, but for the sake of this adventure, most of the humanoid monster settlements have turned to using the burning stamp to keep undesirables out of their villages.
