Here’s a set of three cascading adventures I played with my own online campaign. Pick up your dice and get going.
Chronicles of the Outlands is fantasy role-play with Cutlass style mechanics of event driven combat. The campaign is set in a river rich land, which I hope you recognize from the cover’s map. The players are heroic characters without class distinction, proto Vikings, exploring and adventuring in a broad continental land bordered by seas. Magic is pervasive, everywhere.
Though I think this set of adventures will function in any campaign of High Fantasy, the actions and situations were written specifically for Chronicles of the Outlands.
Yet, give it a try in your other favorite rpg. You may find yourself curious about the fundamentals of our free-style game. These adventures also show how I used the Generating Quests booklet.

More than 50 years ago a band of daring adventurers found and explored the mythical Forbidden City.
The group defeated many dangers within the ancient ruin including an evil and powerful race of snake-men.
For several years thereafter, other expeditions ventured into the dark jungle to unlock hidden mysteries and treasures with the new-found city. But little more was found and the snake-men had vanished.
Now, something is again stirring within the Forbidden City. An unseen menace has called hundreds of lone adventur-ers to the rift city and none have returned. It is one of those “called” that your party pursues.
And the path has led inexorably to the Forbidden City.
Legacy of the Forbidden City is sequel adventure to the classic module of similar name.
The module is designed for the First Edition game using six to eight characters of fifth to seventh level.
The adventure was originally designed as a tournament for use at the fifth annual North Texas RPG Convention.
While all the tournament notes are included, the module is designed for standard play.
Amidst the horrific carnage, Eruptor, the red dragon, lay dead. The race to recover the dragon’s treasure was on and a group of heroes penetrated the lair only to find most of the treasure already stolen. A group of crag gnomes fled into the deep, loaded with a dragon’s horde, as the adventurers, battered from their ordeal, fled the trap-filled lair. As the PCs camped and recovered, a rush of wind extinguished their fire. Before it could be relit, a flame streamed from the darkness and the fire pit blazed with light. In its glow, the red dragon, Eruptor, growled and spoke. His message is simple: find his treasure or die trying. The adventurers must pursue the crag gnomes into the deep chasms to their underground world.
Felhorde is a First Edition game adventure for six to eight characters of 3rd to 4th level.
This module requires the use of the First Edition game rules.
